Itinerary of 5 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley via Ait Ben Haddou [324 km]

Start your 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes with a pick-up from our meeting location in Marrakech. We travel through the Tizi Ntichka pass, a 2260-meter-high mountain pass offering breathtaking views, in the first stop around one hour and 30 minutes to enjoy a café, and after we will have some more stops in a beautiful panoramic view nd visit the argan oil cooperative to see the traditional production methods. Next, we visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a world-renowned site and a popular filming location. Continuing to Ouarzazate, or”Ouallywood of Morocco,” we’ll tour the Atlas Studios, where blockbusters like Game of Thrones and Prison Break were filmed. After lunch, we’ll head to the Dades Gorges and explore the valley. We will have an overnight stay in the Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert [249 km]

On the second day of your 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, we set out for the Todra Gorge. This spot is known for its towering 300-meter-high canyons and is ideal for climbing and photography. After exploring, we will travel through scenic Berber villages and stop for lunch in Tinjedad or Tourog. After lunch, we will drive to Merzouga Desert. Day 3: Exploring the Merzouga Desert [80 km]

We’ll first visit a beautiful panoramic spot to enjoy the view, then see a local nomadic family for a cup of tea with them and learn about their unique lifestyle. Next, we explore home to the Gnawa community with vibrant music and dance, and after that, enjoy lunch in Khamlia to experience delicious Berber pizza. Day 4: Merzouga to Midelt via Ziz Valley [264 km]

After breakfast, our 5 days desert tour continues to Midelt. We pass through Rissani, famous for its traditional market, then visit Erfoud, known for its fascinating fossil workshops. Crossing the beautiful Ziz Valley with its vast date palms and we will have a a drink there to rest, and we reach Ait Chakr hill for panoramic views of the valley. By evening, we arrive in Midelt, nestled between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains, ending the day in this charming town.

Day 5: Midelt to Fes via Ifrane and Meknes [215 km]
