Tour Itinerary of 7 days from Tangier

Here is the tour itinerary for the 7 days from Tangier to Marrakech:

Day 1: Tangier » Chefchaouen [112 Km]

Today, we will pick you up from the airport/port and then drive to Chefchaouen (the blue city) through the Rif mountains and Tetouan city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains. Overnight in your Riad/Hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes [277 km]

After your breakfast in the riad, our authentic journey will start towards Volubilis, crossing via Ouazan and other Rif villages, in Volubilis, we will discover the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco and learn about the archaeological site of Moroccan history.

After the visit to the ruins, we will shift our way to Meknes city, a 17th-century heritage, where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical massive walls of the medina, including Bab el Mansour and Moulay Ismail tomb. After visiting Meknes, we will drive directly to Fes city, where you can spend the night.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing Tour with a local guide

Today, you will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous Souks of Fes. Its narrow cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets, as well as the unique Andalusian architecture in every corner of the old city and its monuments.

We will ensure you visit all sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University. The tour will also include visits to the tanneries and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts. Overnight at hotel/riad.

Day 4: Fes » Azrou » Midelt » Merzouga [469 km]

We will pick you up from your hotel /Riad and drive south to Azrou via Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) and then to the Middle Atlas mountains, stopping by the cedar forest to take some fascinating photos with the barbary apes.

We will continue through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the landscapes of Midelt. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani before we reach Merzouga. Overnight at your local Hotel.

Day 5: Merzouga area [45 km]

After breakfast, we’ll start exploring the area. We’ll visit the village of black people who are initially from Mali to enjoy their music and way of life.

After that, we will drive to Miffis Mines to explore how they work there before getting behind the Dunes in a full desert with charming views. There, we will sit for a warm cup of tea with the local Bedouins.

Before returning to the hotel, after a cup of tea, your local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount and provide other handy camel-related safety tips. Afterward, you begin exploring the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Overnight in a Berber tent.

Day 6: Merzouga » Jerf » Todgha Gorges » Dades Valley [269 km]

Continuing our journey, we will make up early in the morning to watch the best sunrise of your life, casting different shadows and colors over the sea of dunes, the highest in Morocco.

After breakfast, we will return to our desert hotel before continuing to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorge, the highest, narrowest gorge in Morocco. The gorge is excellent for hiking, relaxing on the river’s edge, or sampling local Berber delicacies.

After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where we will end our day by staying at a nice hotel at the top of the mountain.

Day 7: Dades Valley » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech [326 km]

After breakfast in your hotel, we will drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna (the city of roses) and Ouarzazate. The road through Dades Valley is the way of a thousand kasbahs, providing numerous opportunities to take some of the best photographs of your trip.

Then, we will stop for a short stop in the Atlas Movie Studio of Ouarzazate before we drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. It was built by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains at the beginning of the XXth Century. It used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech.

Also, visit one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1987: Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou.

After lunch, we will shift our way to cross the high Atlas mountains full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way till Marrakech where our adventure will end.
