Itinerary  description day by day : 4 Day trip from Marrakech to Fez

Day 1: Marrakesh – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Pick up at your hotel/riad in Marrakech, and we will drive to Ouarzazate through the Atlas Mountains, a varied landscape, and little Berber villages. We stop at the Tizi’n Tichka-pas (possibly to take pictures) at 2260 m. We travel to Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, the most beautiful Kasbah in Morocco, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The place is known as a picture & movie spot; several international films have been shot there, including The Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, the Mummy, Kundun & Alexander. (there are about 43 films in total that have used the place) enjoy the architecture of the building, aged about 4 centuries; the place has been used as a trade center for the caravans coming from Toubouktou & heading to Marrakech, the whole north of Morocco in  Kasbah ait ben Haddou; you will have enough time to walk and discover the Kasbah, including the valley: dinner and Overnight accommodation in Ouarzazat.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Valley – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga

After we spend the night in Kasbah Ait ben Haddou, we drive to  Ouarzazate to visit the famous ATLAS Film Studios, created in 1983. We continue for the Dades, Rose Valley, and the palm trees (route of the 1000 kasbahs). We travel along to Merzouga (Sahara Desert) across the Todra Valley. We take time for lunch and a walk in the Todra Gorge, the most beautiful gorge in Morocco. When finished, we continue to the villages of Erfoud and then Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Arriving in Merzouga at the end of the day, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad.

Day 3: Merzouga area – Camel trek & overnight in desert camp

We wake up early to see a spectacular sunrise over the dunes; we return to the hotel for breakfast and a quick shower. Then we take off to Fez through the Ziz Valley, Errachidia, Midelt, and an always-changing landscape. On our way, we take a break for lunch in the city of Midelt. We pass the cedar forests of Azrou. Then we arrive at Fez.
