Below is the detailed itinerary for the 4 days from Fes to Marrakech:
Day 1: Fes » Azrou » Midelt » Erfoud » Merzouga [467 Km]
This is the first day of our adventure through Merzouga Sahara. Midlet lies between the mountainous ranges of the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas at an altitude of 1,508 meters above sea level.
The trip is beautiful, covering places like Azrou, the view of the Barbary monkeys, the magnificent hills of Midelt to Tiz Ntalghamt Pass, and Ziz Gorge, followed by a lunch and continuing the exploration in the Ziz valley until you reach Merzouga.
Merzouga is a beautiful town in the Sahara desert, which is a delight for the eyes. It offers an exotic camel ride among the stunning sand dunes, followed by a memorable sunset.
The nights here are beautiful, and a bonfire includes delicious dinners.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert Tour & Camel Trek [45 km]
After breakfast, we’ll start exploring the area by visiting the village of dark-skinned people originally from Mali to enjoy their music and way of life.
After that, we will drive to Miffis Mines to explore how they work there before getting behind the Dunes in a full desert with charming views. There, we will sit for a warm cup of tea with the local Bedouins before returning to the hotel.
Day 3: Merzouga » Rissani » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley [255 km]
Continuing our desert trip, we will wake up early to watch the best sunrise of our lives and cast different shadows and colours over the sea of sand dunes. After breakfast, we will shower and return to our desert hotel. We will then continue to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorge, which has the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco.
The gorge is a great spot for hiking, relaxing on the edge of the river, or sampling some local Berber delicacies. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where we will end our day by spending the night in a nice hotel on the top of the mountain.
Day 4: Dades » Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech [325 km]
The final day tour from Marrakech continues toward the Ait Ben Haddou and goes to Marrakech via Telouet.
The journey continues from the old caravan route of Ait ben Haddou, stopping for some time to view Telouet- Pasha Glaoui Kasbah and moving forward to reach Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the famous Tizi N-Tichka pass. Drop you off at your accommodation around 6 – 7 pm.
